How to Apply an Amazon Gift Card Into Your Account

Amazon gift cards are available everywhere and often given as rewards for completing paid online surveys or redeeming points from cashback rewards programs.

Add or apply an Amazon gift card to your account is a simple process and once added can be used immediately.

Amazon gift card from an email

1. Verify the email is authentic and requested by you. The email may include a link to access gift card code. Click the link and view your code.
2. Log into your Amazon account and click View Amazon Pay Balance.
3. In the Add Gift Card / Voucher, enter your gift card code and click on Add to Account.
4. The money from the gift card is placed into your account. And you’re now ready to use the money from the gift card.

Note: Some emails sent by online survey companies and cashback apps may contain links that let you automatically transfer the balance of the e-gift card into your Amazon account without inputting any codes. Verify the authenticity of the email before proceeding.

Amazon gift card from a physical card

1. Log into your Amazon account and click View Amazon Pay Balance.
2. In the Add Gift Card / Voucher, enter your gift card code and click on Add to Account.
3. You’re ready to start using the funds deposited into your Pay account.

When you add an Amazon Gift Card to your account, the funds will be stored in your account and automatically applied to your next eligible order. The original expiration date, if any, applies to any unused funds.
